I'm getting stronger and plan on trying to get back to work this week.

It's going to be quiet around here, as my son Mitchell is on his way to Australia right now. He's traveling with a group of students from the organization People to People. He will be spending the next 14 days in Brisbane and Sydney exploring and having fun with students his own age. Now here's the crazy part he is only 11 years old. He's more of a world traveler than I am. He also traveled last year with the same People to People group to Paris and London for 14 days also. Maybe I should post a few pictures from last year to show you what he saw and in July I'll work on posting this trip too.

Here is the card I put together for my Niece's 4th Birthday and I used the Fairy Tale Die Cuts.

These are cards I made for the neighbor's First Communion's held over the weekend.

I was busy as a bee in April working on Wedding Invitations for our School Principal. Here are my samples that I made. Enjoy the bright Spring Colors.

Colors used: Only Orange and Pink Passion markers and Card stock, Whisper White card stock along with Old Olive and Certainly Celery markers. I made her Invitations, Response cards and Thank You cards. It was an honor to be asked to make her Wedding Invitations. I had so much fun coming up with the design.

I made up 3 different samples for her to pick from and this was one of them.

I'm working on a new project using the CD folders that I got from ULine here. They are 125 a case for $29.00. I plan on getting a class ready with the new catalog. So watch my website for more info.

Items used: Flowers for You DSP, Pink Passion, Lovely Lilac,Tempting Turqouise, Certainly Celery Cardstock, snail, small buckle from Hodgepodge Hardware Antique Brass, Pretties Kit flower, and grosgrain ribbon (white dyed Lovely Lilac) and Tempting Turqouise, mini square envelopes, I also used clear envelopes to hold pictures.
I tried to take a picture but they didn't come out.

What do you think? Not bad on my First try.

I'm going to work on another one and take more pictures.

Punch Boxes for Sale

Over the past few years, Stampin' Up! has come out with a couple of great Punch Box kits (which included a neat punch, exclusive stamps and ink spots), and I've always LOVED using the cool turquoise tins afterwards for storing some of my stamping supplies in. I have one that hold's JUST my Embossing Powders, another that holds perfectly all 4 boxes of Stampin' Spots, plus my other spare was used to house a Stamping Kit-On-The-Go, with some SNAIL adhesive, Paper Snips, a bone folders and other must-haves that I need when taking a project to stamp with me. These tins are also fun to alter and customize as well... I've added Rub-on's, ribbons, DSP, chipboard -- you name it!

My Stampin' Up Convention Swaps!

Here are my 2 swaps I made for Convention! The only thing is I won't be going and someone else will be swapping my Cards!! I need to thank Gretchen Barron for doing this for me! She will be taking my swaps with her to Salt Lake City! Thanks So Much!!

The sample on the left uses the stamp set One of a Kind, card stock is Naturals Ivory and the ink is Brocade Blue, Rose Red and Certainly celery. My sample can be used as as a bookmark holder, money holder or as an invitation. The measurements are: 6 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 6" and 3", with the front flap 2 1/2". The insert should be 2 1/2" x 5 1/2". Punch a hole if making a book mark.

The second card uses the stamp set Pun Fun and Classic Backgrounds. The card stock is a new In Color Pink Pirouette and Kiwi Kiss. The ink is pink Pirouette, and I used pretty in pink and Old Olive markers to color in the flower.

On Board Journal

This is what a bare chip board journal looks like ( pg.181).

This is the Spiral punch ( pg. 182) and what it looks like and this is what you use to add a piece of Scrapbook paper to your cover. The Designer Series Paper can be found on pages 170-173. My sample uses the DS paper Flowers For You.
Punch your holes on one side and then match up the punches with the binding and
then use your glue stick (pg. 185) on the paper and cover of the journal.
You would also use a Sanding block (pg. 184) to trim the edges so that they are even with the edges. Much neater than folding over the edge and then using another piece on the inside cover.

Well, I worked on this last weekend and finally found the time to get it posted.

I had fun covering this On Board Journal to use as a Calendar for the next year.

Three For You Punch Box

This card uses the Three for You Punch box, cardstock is Soft Sky, So Saffron and Whisper White. The flowers have a glue dot in the center with mini beads attached.
This card uses the Garden Whimsy stamp set, Rose Red and Whisper White cardstock.
This card is done with the Pick a Petal stamp set, the 1 1/4 inch circle punch and Wild Wasabi and Basic Black card stock and inks.

Thanks for being patience while my life just got too busy for more than a quick email check as we raced out the door with another appointment or more kids over than I knew what to do with. I'm hoping that once school starts I'll be able to post more often and with more fun things to do.
